At Benjamin Bunnies, we want all our bunnies to live long happy lives with their forever families. This policy is in place to ensure that our bunnies go to the home that best suits them, with the people that love them most.

Right of First Refusal
We reserve full rights to decline a sale to any individual. 
We do not sell to breeders or outdoor homes at this time.

Communication
When communicating with us, it is your responsibility to reply promptly to emails, texts, or calls. If you do not reply to any emails/texts from Benjamin Bunnies within 48 hours, we will move on to the next interested adoptee. When inquiring about reserving a bunny, please note that others may be inquiring as well, and that the bunny you want may be adopted if you do not communicate efficiently and effectively. 

Bunny Education
All adoptees must educate themselves on a bunny's needs before pickup. This includes having the necessary supplies to house, feed, groom, entertain, and stimulate a bunny. We have a Bunny Education page adoptees may read to gain more information on bunnies' needs, and we are always here for you. We're more than happy to answer any questions whatsoever - "dumb questions" do not exist!

Guarantees
Our bunnies are healthy and well-cared for while living with us. We are happy to do a health check at pickup and during the pre-reservation meeting.
Benjamin Bunnies is not responsible for your bunny's death, injury, or vet bills after you have taken him/her home.
Genders are determined to our best ability through our years of experience with bunnies. We guarantee genders at 6 months of age and over. If a bunny is younger than 6 months, we cannot guarantee its gender.

Payment
We accept payments through Venmo and PayPal using the "Friends and Family" option. Payments must be sent through that option for transactional ease on the receiving end. Cash payments are not ideal but may be made if necessary.
All deposits made on any bunny are non-refundable unless your chosen bun becomes ill, is injured, or dies while still in our care. If this is the case, and the bunny you reserved dies/is injured/becomes ill under our care, you may move your deposit to another currently available bunny. 

Reservation
When reserving a bunny, 50% of its total adoption fee must be paid upfront. The other 50% is due at the time of pickup. No bunny will leave our property without being paid for in full.
Reservations are first come, first serve. The first person to place a deposit on a bunny reserves that bunny. 

Transportation
Optimally, the adopter will pick their bunny up from our rabbitry, located in West Knoxville. 
Please bring a carrier (either hard-sided or soft-sided will work) for your bunny when you pick it up. Drives can be stressful for bunnies, and they may not appreciate being held on an unsteady lap for a long drive. 
We are willing to drive up to 45 minutes away from our location in West Knoxville, Tennessee, to meet you at a designated point IF you live at least 1.5 hours away from our location. 
We are willing to ship our bunnies (click to read more) via Alaska Airlines to different states, and we are willing to work with a ground transporter IF the transporter is willing to communicate through text. We do not use or have access to any social media, so cannot connect through FB, IG, etc. Please keep that in mind and respect it if considering bunny transportation! We are not responsible for the bunny's state once it is on the transport and make no guarantees once it is on its way via your selected transporter.

Our Contracts
At pickup, we require two contracts to be signed. The first ensures that any bunny we sell will be spayed/neutered by or before the age of 8 months, and that veterinarian proof of spaying/neutering will be provided. The second ensures that a bunny needing rehoming will be rehomed to us first, and if we do not have the space or resources, that the bunny's owner will allow us to help find a suitable home. It also ensures that the bunny's owner will keep us at Benjamin Bunnies updated with photos, videos, and messages regarding your bunny's health (ranging from "my bunny is doing so well, he loves his new toy" to "my bunny passed away this morning. Here is an honest account of what happened. Thanks for your concern." 
These contracts mean so much to us and our bunnies, especially in regards to their health and our peace of mind about all our babies. We are here for you always and offer lifetime support.
